Hotpa was born and raised in Mountain View California. He is half Japanese, half Hungarian and 100% American. Hotpa got his start in a group called 4 Korners. Later he founded Mental Brotherhood which consisted of Muse, Suddle D, Scruff and Hotpa. Mental Brotherhood released the album "Life in Mountain View" which was a huge underground success. The album led to tours with Mac Dre, Zioni, Living Legends, Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, Mystik Journeymen, Murs, Heiroglyphics, Jt the Bigga Fi gga, Eqiupto, the list goes on and on. Since then, Hotpa is currently finishing work on his 1st solo project. He created the name Hotpa from the Hawaiian word Hapa, which means half and half. Recently Hotpa has been exploding on the Japanese hip hop and fashion scene! He was a big part of a compilation called "Bayside." The album sold over 150,000 copies and his ringtone did 200,000 downloads. He has worked with some of the greatest Japanese street artist's such as: Sphere, Jin, Cornhead, Dj Yutaka, Black Wallstreet Japan and Jam Kane, to name a few. Hotpa has just released his 1st American single called "Breath of Fresh" Air feat. R&B Vets. It is selling extremely well on iTunes and the reviews have been better than great!
